Gymnastics at Kings’ School - November 2018

On Wednesday 28th November, the St Bede Year 3 and 4 Gymnastics squad (Oliver, Jack, Kacper, Alfie, Lucas, Jessica, Camilla, Josie, Freya and Emily) headed to Kings’ School for a special practise event in preparation for a Gymnastics competition in the New Year. This event was an opportunity for the children to learn and perform some of the different routines and skills that they will be asked to perform in the upcoming competition.

The children started with a warm up lead by some of the year 8 and 9 pupils from Kings’ School. The pupils then took the children through the different body control, floor routines and vault skills they would need for the competition.

The children were focused and attentive when learning the skills and showed excellent perseverance when they found things difficult. I was incredibly proud of the children’s enthusiasm and energy along with the way they behaved and showed respect and appreciation for the Kings’ pupils who were supporting them. We are very much looking forward to the competition in January (Date TBC).
