Growing Together

Is Plastic fantastic?

Is Plastic fantastic?  The use of Eco-bricks

Our eco reps, led by Mrs Player and Mrs Williams, have been working together on a project to try and find further uses for single-use plastics.

The team of children from the eco-group spoke to children across the school this week in worships about the impact that plastic is having on the world-wide environment and ways that people can introduce change and improvement.  One of the options available to everyone and can make a difference is to produce a "plastic brick" to recycle the plastics not commonly recycled.  Mrs Williams reminded everyone that if they are bringing in plastic bricks, they need to be full to the brim and weigh a minimum of 330g.

We will continue to collect these "plastic bricks" from now on and then send them on to our closest collection point.  Together we can make difference and lots of small steps can lead to better things!
