St. Bede has been chosen to take part in Amey’s (Hampshire Highways) annual “Name a Gritter” competition. This initiative aims to make children more aware of how the county prepares for winter and we would like as many pupils as possible to take part. In order to enter this competition, each child needs to colour in their blank copy of an Amey gritter truck (sent home with your child on Friday) and then record, on the blank name plate on the side of the lorry, an original name for it! The winning gritter truck name will then be emblazoned on one of Amey’s gritter trucks for the next two years as it carries out work across Hampshire. All entries need to be returned to your child’s class teacher before Friday 22nd January. Good luck to everyone!
