In England this week many schools, including ours have marked ‘anti bullying week,’ helping children understand that all bullying is unacceptable and identifying strategies to deal with bullying if and when it occurs. With children in worship this week, we have unpicked what constitutes bullying, how to respond to bullying and the different types of bullying that exist.
The key message has been that any concern must be shared with adults to enable us to help children by providing necessary guidance and support. Our school values have provided a useful reference point in identifying why bullying is wrong and what more desirable behaviours look like.
