Thank you to all the parents who were able to join us this morning for the official opening of our Easter Art Exhibition called Journeys. I am sure those who have already visited were impressed- the site of over 300 pieces of children’s art, displayed in this way was quite breathtaking. The children were as excited as the adults by the sight that greeted them and is well worth a look over the Easter break if you have a chance. Thank you to Mrs Selman for all her hard work organising the exhibition and working alongside all the teachers as they supported children with their creations.
Working together with local Winchester artist Rhian John and in partnership with Winchester School of Art, this exhibition is the result of a whole school art project focused on the work Rhian shared with the children last Friday. The children have been busy creating a wide range of animal images that represent the Building Learning Power habits that underpin our learning at St. Bede. If you were unable to attend the exhibition opening, the gallery will be open over the Easter holiday between 9.30 am – 7.00 pm, Monday to Saturday. Please note the gallery will be closed for Easter from Friday, 19th April to Monday, 22nd April and the exhibition will be taken down after this date.
