A huge congratulations to the pupils who represented the school in the Winchester and Eastleigh Cross Country event this week. A number of our girls and boys took part in the freezing conditions and managed to finish incredibly strongly. Luke and Camilla won their races and in the boys race St Bede managed to take all top 4 places having competed against schools from all across Winchester and Eastleigh.

Mr Hiscock has been told that potentially the top 18 runners from each race will qualify for the Hampshire School Games, giving St Bede 8 runners in the event. Amazing! Well done to everyone who took part!

Well done to the boys and girls table tennis teams that took part in the Hampshire schools table tennis tournament in Totton on Sunday. They played against the best 4 schools in Hampshire. Both teams played some tremendous table tennis, showing skill and composure in a high level competition. The girls finished the day in 4th place and the boys finished 2nd. The girls were hugely unlucky to not pick up more wins, with several of their matches going to 5-3 and 4-4.

The boys final match was played against the eventual champions. Before coming up against St Bede, this mighty team had crushed everyone 8-0. The game against St Bede was a different story. Each match was nip and tuck, the best of 3 games going down to a 3rd set time and again. It all hung in the balance. Eventually St Bede lost out, 5-3 in a fiercely competitive contest.
