We are all looking forward to our forthcoming Harvest Festival celebrations at Holy Trinity Church, Upper Brook Street, Winchester on Friday 25th October. We hope that lots of our families will be able to attend these special occasions for our school community. As advised in previous correspondence we will be holding three services.
We welcome families of children in Phoenix Houses Year 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 at 9.30am.
We welcome families of children in Dragon House in Years 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 at 11.00am.
We welcome families of children in Gryphon House in Years 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 at 2.00pm.
To comply with health and safety regulations at Holy Trinity Church, the churchwardens and I need to let parents know that, unfortunately, it will not be possible to bring pushchairs into the church itself. Of course, pushchairs may be left outside the church or in the small hall.
However, please note that the service is unsuitable for very young children who are unable to sit quietly for a length of time and we respectfully ask that parents do not bring children of this age to the church due to the nature of the occasion.
Thank you very much indeed for your co-operation. As usual at this time of the year, and in the spirit of supporting others at harvest time, we would like to ask parents for gifts of various foods and other goods which will be donated to the Winchester Churches Nightshelter. Thank you so much for your donations in advance; it is our chance as a community to do something practical for those people who are less fortunate than ourselves.
We would be pleased to receive items from Monday 21st October. The staff and children hope to see many parents at our Harvest Festival celebrations and again, thank you very much for the support which you so generously give to the school.
