Welcome back to school after what I hope has been a happy and restful summer. The children have settled back into classes quickly and there has been lots going on from science lessons with rockets shooting high in the sky to lots of classes running the Golden Mile. It’s been lovely to see everyone again! In Worship this week we have been talking about three key expectations we are focussing on this year; being safe, ready and respectful. It has been pleasing to see everyone making such an effort to meet, and often to exceed, these expectations.
A couple of thank you’s for the start of term: The children have started the school year looking very smart- thank you for all you are doing to encourage children to take pride in their uniforms. It has been super to see children and parents making a real effort to be at school promptly ready to start each morning- thank you. The bell will ring at 8.55 each morning and children go into school and begin learning straight away, punctuality is so important in ensuring children have the calmest start to a day possible.
