The children in Band 2 thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a series of workshops last half term which were delivered by staff from the Winchester Military Museum to commemorate the centenary of the First World War. The children took part in some army drills, handled some artefacts from WW1 and thoroughly enjoyed dressing up! The workshops were also linked to a local project ‘When the guns fell silent’.
As part of the project, the children were asked to reflect on the meaning behind remembrance and Band 2 have created a panel to showcase all of their work. This panel will be on display as part of the WW1 exhibition in the Winchester Discovery Centre on 11th November 2018.
