Year 6 Leavers' Service at Winchester Cathedral

Each year, our Year 6 pupils are invited to spend a day at Winchester Cathedral, taking part in a range of activities in the morning before attending a service in the afternoon. St Bede attended this event on Wednesday, working alongside a number of other schools from across the Winchester Diocese.

This year, the service focussed on the concept of stewardship and our responsibility we have to look after our world. We were asked to create and take along a canvas, representing our school and reflecting work children have done about bees, children also took a number of plants which are pollinators, to encourage more bees to the area immediately outside the Cathedral. The painting from our school and from many other schools is currently on display in the Cathedral- do go and have a look if you have a chance.
