Remote Learning

At St. Bede, we believe that high attendance is essential for pupils to get the most out of their school experience, including for their attainment, wellbeing, and wider life chances.

We will only use remote education in exceptional circumstances, including school closures or restrictions on attendance, where whole school access for pupils is restricted or individual cases where a pupil is unable to attend school but is able to learn.

Remote education should only ever be considered as a last resort where a decision has already been made by the school and in consultation with parents that attendance at school is not possible, but that it is appropriate for a pupil to continue learning.

We use Google Classroom for remote learning at St. Bede and do so in line with the current Government non-statutory guidance.  All children can access their class Google Classroom, which is used regularly to post home learning tasks and learning information for pupils and parents.

Our provision for remote learning is regularly monitored and we currently follow the updated government guidance as of August 2024:
