Growing Together
Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens. Our 'Growing together at St Bede' document provides information about our approaches to teaching, learning and personal development.
St Bede is proud to be an inclusive school where we focus on the well-being and progress of every child and where all members of our community are of equal importance. Every child is well supported in their personal development and education and there is a school wide commitment to achieving this. We recognise, respect and value difference and understand that diversity is a strength which should be celebrated by all those who learn and teach at, or visit the school. We strive to remove barriers and disadvantages which people face, wanting all members of our school community to feel a sense of belonging within the school and wider community, knowing that they are respected and valued and able to participate fully in school life.
At St Bede, we value each child as a unique individual. We strive to meet the needs of all of our children and ensure that we meet all statutory requirements related to matters of inclusion. We believe that all pupils should be able to use and benefit from school facilities and the education provided. No pupil, parent, member of staff or visitor should suffer prejudicial behaviour.
Inclusion underpins all of our school policies but the following are integral to this work.
Some of these policies can be found on our school website. Others can be accessed on request by contacting stbedeoffice@st-bede.hants.sch.uk
