St. Bede Online Learning Strategy – March 2020 – Year 4

 

This online learning strategy has been created to enable students to continue their education if they are away from St. Bede CE Primary School.

 

This strategy is designed to:

 

- Ensure the well-being and safety of children and staff.

- Provides a series of lessons and associated resources to support children’s learning.

- Ensures a consistent approach across the school with clear expectations for children,

  parents and staff.

-supports families to enable them to continue distance learning.

 

All children will have the opportunity to take part in a range of activities that have been carefully created by their teachers.

Make sure to read your reading book for at least 15 minutes every day. You could keep a record of what you have read or what you think might happen next. Make sure to occasionally read with an adult too.

Roll a dice (or create some digit cards) a number of times to create 2 different numbers. Then use these numbers within a formal written method.

Addition = 4-digit numbers

Subtraction = 4-digit numbers

Multiplication = 3-digit by a 1-digit

Division = 3-digit by a 1-digit

CHALLENGE = Think of a target answer. How close can you get? What if you change the place value column of the digits?
