Year 1 and Ladybird Class took part in Samba workshops, kindly funded by the HSA.

 

Ladybird Class enjoyed singing with scarves. Everyone was given a scarf to sing and move with. The session was very colourful, lots of fun and full of happy faces with everyone joining in and enjoying themselves while learning to start and stop in time to the songs Rachel sang with us.

 

Year 1 had a fantastic opportunity to take part in a music workshop, learning and exploring how to use bamboo tamboo’s. Walker and Wykeham found out that the instruments came from the Caribbean and learnt how to use them by hitting the floor with the bottom or by tapping the side. We took part in chants and sang songs, making sure we were hitting our bamboo tamboo in time with the music. We then challenged ourselves by creating a pattern!
