As part of our Advent preparations, we have been celebrating Posada, a beautiful Mexican tradition. Over the past three weeks, figures of Mary and Joseph have journeyed through our school, visiting one class each day. Today, their travels came to an end during our whole-school worship. Together, we reflected on the journey that Mary and Joseph made ahead of Jesus’ birth and our various re-tellings of that story over the month of December.

 

The children have loved welcoming these special visitors into their classrooms, reflecting on the meaning of the season and preparing their hearts for Christmas. This shared experience has brought our school community closer together as we look forward to the joy of Christmas and possibly our own special journeys to places and people we love.
