Welcome to our Reception Page!  

Our Reception unit consists of 2 classes: Butterfly Class and Ladybird Class.

Both classes have a spacious learning environment with all areas of continuous provision available.

The children can also easily access the outdoor area, choosing where they would like to play and learn.

Our aim is to make sure learning is fun and varied and follows the EYFS Curriculum.

Our school motto is 'Growing Together'. This begins as we welcome children into their Reception Year.

We pride ourselves on helping the children to build on their emotional and academic foundations in a safe, inclusive and happy environment as well as getting to know all the children and their families.

We strive for learning to be inspiring, challenging and lots of fun, where curiosity is nurtured. Our enthusiastic adults help children to thrive whilst developing a life long love of learning.

Our school values of love, peace, courage, trust and friendship underpin our school community and everything we do in Year R. This continues throughout the children's journey through St. Bede.
