Growing Together
We would like to thank all our families for their continued support in helping children attend school regularly and arrive on time each day. At St Bede, we know that children flourish when they are present, engaged and fully involved in school life, but equally, that it doesn’t matter how great our teaching is if children are not in attendance to benefit from it. Regular attendance is one of the most important factors in helping children achieve their potential, build confidence and develop positive friendships. Every lesson, every school day and every shared experience contributes to their success and sense of belonging within our school community.
Excellent attendance also reflects our school values of love, friendship, trust and courage. Children learn alongside one another, support each other through challenges and develop the relationships that help them thrive both academically and personally. Being in school every day ensures they do not miss out on these valuable opportunities. Arriving on time is equally important. A calm and punctual start to the day helps children settle quickly, feel prepared for learning and make the most of every opportunity from the moment the school day begins. Even a few minutes of lateness can add up over time and result in missed learning.
We understand that there will be occasions when children are genuinely unwell or exceptional circumstances arise. However, wherever possible, we encourage families to avoid taking holidays during term time and to arrange appointments outside of the school day. If you are experiencing any difficulties that may affect your child's attendance or punctuality, please do speak to us. We are here to help and support. By working together, we can ensure that every child enjoys the very best opportunities to learn, grow and flourish at St Bede. Thank you for helping us make every day count.
