Growing Together
To enhance their History learning experiences, the children in Year 5 visited the Military museums in the last week of November as part of their History learning about World War 1. They enjoyed various different workshops learning about the role of Gurkha soldiers, the different uniforms worn by the British Army throughout history, how horses were bought and used in World War 1 and about the Hampshire Regiment and the role they played. The children loved trying on different uniforms and participating in a re-enactment of how Gurkha soldiers came to join the British Army.
