• Out of the Blue - Music Workshop

  On Thursday morning (8th December), our St. Bede Choir, Heads of Music and Vocal Ambassadors worked with the "Out of the Blue" an a capella group from the University of Oxford, learning a special arrangement of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" which the children will perform to the school later in the term.

   

  Part of the “Out of Blue” team was an ex-St. Bede pupil which made the experience really special and gave the children in attendance an extra boost of energy and excitement as well as inspiring them to keep singing.  Well done to everyone!    

• Primary Maths Challenge – Winchester College

  A big well done to all of our pupils who successfully participated in the 2022 Primary Maths Challenge supported by Winchester College.  At the recent celebration evening held at Winchester College, we were very proud of the standards that had been achieved by each of our pupils because the actual questions presented to them during the test were very challenging! 

   

  A number of our pupils representing the school managed to reach the bronze, silver and gold standard for the challenge and we are looking forward to the next round of maths challenges! 

• Badminton Champions

  Congratulations to our Badminton Team who became Winchester Area Champions earlier this week.  Our four players competed against other local schools in the Winchester district and came out on top after a series of exciting and energetic matches.  It was great to see them displaying all of the school’s values and their amazing badminton skills.  Thank you to Miss Wright who supported the team at the event. 

   

  All of the team attend our weekly badminton club and we are very proud of their achievement!  More information about Badminton Club can be found on the club information letter that has recently been shared with parents.
